Synopsis
It’s a perfect a late afternoon for Claudia’s regular swim at her local rock pool. She even meets a cute guy on the way there.
But any romantic thoughts are soon forgotten after a shocking discovery.
Director’s note
Night Swimmer taps into the idea about how our ordinary routines and life can suddenly become shattered by the ripple effect of other people’s choices in one moment of shared fate.
Visually, the film begins with a realistic and optimistic aesthetic and slowly transforms into a darker and more expressionist tone as night falls.

LEAD:
• Claudia (35-45 yrs)
Claudia is optimistic, funny and confident. She will also prove herself to be brave in a moment of crisis.
SUPPORTING:
• Sam (35-45 yrs)
A regular jogger and another beachside local. Sam is more introverted and shy compared to the more naturally outgoing Claudia.
MINOR CHARACTERS:
• Piper (16-18 yrs to play a 14-year-old)
A young girl with a deep held secret.
• Male Swimmer (50-55 yrs)
Another regular swimmer and regular looking Dad at the local pool.
• Female Paramedic (25-40 yrs)
• Male Paramedic (25-40 yrs)
